Tonight was Olive's end of the year preschool program. The program was their year in review. Olive had a few speaking parts that she memorized (but then waited for Miss Jo's promptings anyway, darn it), and the class sang a bunch of songs. It was totally adorable, and at the end Miss Jo turned on Pomp & Circumstance and gave each of the kids a little certificate and gift. She is really such a fantastic teacher, and I'm glad we'll have her for the next few years. But man, I did get emotional thinking of my little girl leaving the sweet, safe environment of Miss Jo's Preschool and heading on to kindergarten. Yikes! We'll cross that bridge later.
