Olive finished her first month of swim classes, and here's her report card. She's all signed up for next month, and she can't wait!
Listening to the Foo Fighters' "Break Out" in the car just now. The lyrics say, "I don't wanna look like that" over and over. After it ended and everything was quiet for a second, Olive said, "He don'ts wanna look like his dad."

This afternoon was Olive's birthday party. Tiaras were passed out as each girl arrived. There were 13 of them, and they got right to work playing and coloring on Sofia coloring sheets. Then they broke into an impromptu dance party. They did a lot of running around and screaming. Then they sat down for snacks, and listened as I read the Sofia the First story. More running, more screaming, then presents, then cupcakes. And at the end of it all, we tried to have a daddy-daughter waltz, but it only lasted a few seconds before everyone was just plain ready to go home. It was a blast!

Olive got to bring treats to school today for her birthday. They sang to her, and gave her a crown and a sticker. She loved it!

Today was Olive's first day of swim class. Her teacher had to get after her a little bit for not always keeping one hand on the wall, but she also said Olive is definitely a strong backstroker. She had a blast. Here are some photos...
She's 4! She told us she wouldn't actually turn 4 until she blew her candles out so I guess now that she's done that, it's official. We had a great day!

They spotlighted Olive in Primary today. This year for spotlighting they're talking about how the children were named, so this is how I told them we came up with her name. And gosh, if I had known they were just going to cut and paste then I would've been a little more articulate. Nevertheless...
