I got an envelope in the mail that had pictures of ducks on it. Olive picked it up off the counter and said, "What is this, a duck bill or something?" And then chuckled to herself. Amazing wit.

...Um, Olive just swallowed a penny. She came to me crying and almost panicking, but not quite. After a few minutes of coughing and crying, she looked at me with relief and said, "It went down!" So...looking forward to the end result of this one!

Olive's class had a field trip to the South Ogden fire/police station today. The kids had a great time, even though it got kinda loud at times. On the way home we reviewed what we're supposed to do if we ever have a house fire, and we got cookies at McDonald's.

This is Olive and Olivia, her buddy from church. They hang out almost every Friday, and they play super well together. Cute girls.

Olive decided a couple weeks ago that she wanted to get her ears pierced. We discussed it a bunch, and I took her to see what it would be like and had the piercer lady explain it to her and show her the equipment. We discussed it some more; I super duper tried not to influence her decision one way or the other (I secretly didn't want her to do it), and as the self-assured little girl she is, she was sure about her decision. So today was the day. She struggled through it. For me, it sucked and I wish I could take it back. But she's thrilled now that it's over.
