Watching The Little Mermaid for the first time is serious business.

Olive was sitting with Penelope on the couch yesterday, and suddenly said, "Oh my gosh, I love her! She has the sweetest smell on her skin!" Totally.

The past few days, Olive has been "washing the car". I thought she was being sweet, as she so often is, but I realized this was an Annie reenactment -- she's singing It's a Hard Knock Life and marching back and forth from the bucket to the car, and frowning a whole bunch. Funny girl.

Olive's version of the song "Tomorrow" from Annie goes:

Wearing matcher night shirts we got in a hand-me-down bag.

Cleaned their whole room without me asking.

Olive: "Good night, Lucy."
Lucy: "Good night, Olive."

Lucy's prayer: "...Please help Mommy feel better..."
Olive's prayer: "...Thank you for helping me find my blanky..."
