Olive's first day at Miss Jo's Preschool.

Olive's first talk in primary...

She made her own sandwich.

In other news, there are two things that seem to be at the front of Olive's mind lately:

(1) Forming a club. She is constantly creating invitations, signs, hats, etc for the club. And she is always making verbal lists of who will be in the club and of what activities the club will do together.

(2) Making new friends. She asks me at least a couple of times everyday if she'll make new friends soon. I keep wondering if maybe that's why she's been misbehaving lately, because she's just bored of us and wants some friends. It makes my heart ache, but I know that starting next week (when preschool, soccer, and swim all begin) she'll feel socially fulfilled again.

Olive and I have had a rough several days. When Chris got home from work the other day I took her with me on a few errands so we could have some alone time. While we were gone Chris called, and Lucy wanted to talk to Olive. This is how their conversation went:

Lucy: Hi Olive.
Olive: Hi Lucy.
Lucy: I wanted to come with Mom.
Olive: If you be a mean girl you can go with her next time.

Yikes.

Olive went to Dino Day Camp this morning, and the rest of us played at the Dinosaur Park while we waited for her. Fun morning!

Scratch that last post. I just showed it to Olive, and she said, "That's not love. That's an L for Lucy, an O for Olive, and a G for George." This story just got way better.
